The Silver Sphere

The Silver Sphere - Michael Dadich What did you like most about the book? A world that mirrored earth. Enjoyed reading the authors imagination on this.

What did you like least? The ending. I felt the book ended abruptly and there were still quite a few loose ends.

Would you recommend it? I recommend this book to anyone over 13. This is a clean read, but it might be a little violent for anyone younger.

What did you like about it? The flow in writing. Dadich, did not rush anything along or drag any areas of the story.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author

Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up From Rock Bottom

Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up From Rock Bottom - Marti MacGibbon What do you think the author was trying to accomplish with this novel? Hoping that someone would read it and either not use drugs or stop where they were at and seek help.

What are the most important relationships in the book? I would love to say that Marti’s relationship with her daughter. However, that is not possible. To Marti during this time in her life finding that next high/hit was more important than anything.

What major emotion did the story evoke? Sympathy is the biggest emotion I felt for Marti. Sorry that she experienced everything but wondering how much she brought on herself and how much was someone else’s fault.

Name your favorite thing overall about the book. When Marti reconnected with her daughter. How each forgave the other. Yes, Marti did not exactly walk out on her daughter, but she allowed the drugs to rule her life. I am sure she thought about her daughter but she was more concerned with getting high than spending quality time with her child. How Marti allowed the drugs to determine where she was in life. She was always out for that next hit. Always hoping that she would find the perfect score, the perfect high that would take her to oblivion or beyond.

Broken Pieces

Broken Pieces - Rachel Thompson What did the title have to do with the book? Everything. The book is non-fiction (memoir) and talks about the time when she was most broken. It ends in the present where her pieces are no longer as broken as they were in the beginning.

Is the story plot or character driven? This is a non-fiction that is focused on short stories or 'pieces' of the author's life. This is the first time I have read a book like this and it did open my eyes about what other people go through in their lives.

Who in this book would you most like to meet? The author. She seems to be a strong person who has been brave enough to deal with her past issues. I would like to know more about how she has overcome the obstacles in her life. A very good book I will definitely tell other readers about.

Disclosure - I received a free copy of the book which did not affect my honest opinion.

Marching With Caesar: Civil War

Marching With Caesar: Civil War - R.W. Peake List the places mentioned in the book. Alexandria, Egypt, Macedonia, Numidia to name a few. This book takes the reader back in time. A lot of of thought, effort and time has gone into this book.

What other books has this author written? Marching With Caesar: Conquest of Gaul which I also had the pleasure of reading. We initially thought we could read the book by itself but we recommend that you read the books in order.

What is the time period in which the book happens? Around 20BC, not exactly sure the exact date. But the surrounding details and characters centres around this time frame.

What kind of book is this? Historical Fiction,Caesar, Roman Empire Cleopatra and a very good one at that.

What was the author's purpose or purposes in writing this book? To provide readers with an idea on how life might be like during the Roman Empire.

Disclosure: I received a copy from the author for an honest review.
